Following the national agriculture insurance education programme carried out in a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Lands, the Insurance Council of Zimbabwe (ICZ) and the Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) in November and December 2024, the ICZ team is continuing with the exercise interacting with farmers at ward level.

The targeted wards are in Midlands, Mashonaland East, West and Central, Manicaland, Masvingo, Matabeleland North and South. ICZ aims to ensure that smallholder farmers across Zimbabwe are covered under its Agro Pool. This will contribute to the national financial inclusion strategy as well as to the development of a resilient agriculture sector.
